Pursuant to the provisions of Law No. (35) of 2002 pertaining to Money Laundering Control, and whereas we strongly believe in the seriousness of the crime and the subsequent great threats for the national community; the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, through the office of controlling money laundering operations, has established this website as part of its continuous campaign for facing this phenomenon that threatens the economics of the State.

Whereas the money laundering concept is listed under the (crime) concept, which starts to sound the alarm everywhere, the office of controlling money laundering operations perseveres in intensifying its efforts regarding limiting the money laundering operations. In this regard, the office depends on a flexible mechanism based on a group of procedures and resolutions, including the establishment of this website.

Since we are convinced that this crime takes different forms with the development of the modern epoch that entails big change in the sectors of industry and communications and with the entrance to the globalization era without the presence of economic barriers between the countries; the State, represented by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has hurried to take precautionary measures and mechanisms that are in compliance with such changes.

The efforts of the Ministry in this regard resided in working on the establishment of a website, to be an enlightening window for controlling this serious phenomenon. The office of controlling money laundering operations has sought to give this website a new character that takes into consideration the informational and technological development. The Ministry also revealed all the contents of the site in an easy way, in addition to covering all the points related to this issue, in order to be an encyclopedia or reference for all the points and matters that disclose the secrets of the money laundering operations.

Finally, we hope that this site reflects the aspirations of the Ministry, regarding offering the sufficient enlightenment on the risks of this phenomenon, in such a manner as shall contribute to maintain our national economy. My God protect Kuwait and its people.
